Whew! This week has gone by quickly getting ready for our family Christmas gathering next weekend. Right now my house looks like Christmas elves came by to decorate and then got into a drunken fight tearing the place apart! We did manage to go tracking a few times at the Mashburn’s house which was a nice break from Christmas stuff. I am doing food drops every 2 steps per Mary Ann’s instructions and reminding myself to stay close to Vivi. She seems to be keeping her head down well for most of the tracks. Tuesday we did 4 short one-turn tracks. Thursday we did 3 short two-turn tracks. This morning we did one 4-turn track with articles midway on each leg. Geez, was it cold this morning but thankfully very little wind. I thought we were out there by ourselves but then a buck came out of nowhere and ran across the field scaring the heck out of me! Vivi, of course, wanted to run with the buck, but I kept her with me and reminded her what we were doing. Those food drops every 2 steps really helped to get her focused again!
Keeping our fingers crossed for Bean and Mary Ann to pass tomorrow! 🤞
Sounds like even with the Christmas madness you got some tracking sessions in! If you can, try to do a blog per session so you can give a little more detail and provide your maps. Judi and Mary Ann can also give some ideas of the types of info it's helpful to have in these. I know they want folks using the Tracking Goals sheet so try to start using that. Here is the link, but if it doesn't work, it can be found under Training --> Training Program. You'll see a rectangle with Tracking Goals Form - click that to download the form. However hope the link here works - https://www.rdoctracking.com/_files/ugd/1f644a_c4c93d505fe1457f945c12553f833826.docx?dn=Judi%27s%20Track%20Goals%20Form%20single%20page.docx)
